Nike Air Max 1

The Nike Air Max 1 was the first in its line, and was released in 1987. Tinker Hatfield designed the shoe being inspired by Parisian architecture. It featured Air cushioning that was visible at the heel. Although at Nike some were skeptical about the Air cushioning being visible, it actually made the shoe very popular. In 1992, Nike decided to retro Air Max 1 for the first time, but altering some designs.
